Common materials for rubber bushings include natural rubber, nitrile rubber, silicone rubber, fluororubber, and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM). Different materials have distinct characteristics and are suitable for different working conditions.

Main Materials and Their Applications:

Natural Rubber (NR): High elasticity, good tear resistance and abrasion resistance, and excellent resilience, suitable for applications requiring good cushioning and shock absorption, such as automotive suspension bushings. However, its oil resistance, solvent resistance, and heat resistance are relatively poor, and its operating temperature generally does not exceed 60℃.

Nitrile Rubber (NBR): Excellent resistance to gasoline and aliphatic hydrocarbon oils, good heat resistance, and an operating temperature up to 90℃, widely used in sealing and shock-absorbing components in oily environments.

Silicone Rubber (VMQ): Non-toxic and odorless, with high resistance to heat oxidation and ozone stability, strong chemical inertness, and stable use up to 100℃, often used in food, pharmaceutical, and other applications with hygiene requirements.

Fluororubber (FKM): Excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, oils, chemical corrosion, and aging; suitable for harsh environments with highly corrosive media, but relatively expensive.

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM): Strong resistance to oxidation, ozone, and corrosion; good adaptability to harsh climates; stable physical properties; lower cost; can withstand operating temperatures up to 150℃; an excellent vibration damping material.

Butyl Rubber (IIR): Strong airtightness and impermeability; excellent resistance to strong acids; suitable for strong acid environments such as hydrochloric acid and phosphoric acid, but not resistant to oils and aromatic solvents.
